Trump Ocean Club Hotel & Casino is scheduled to open July 1, 2011 according to the project's sales and marketing director, Thierry Baurez. The project was scheduled to open in November 2010 however some unforeseen delays made it impossible. Currently the details and finishings of the Tower are being installed. It is specifically this part of the construction which delayed delivery. The finishings and details in the inside of building has been more time consuming than planned. In addition to this there were also delays with customs of several shipments of luxury materials.

The opening is scheduled for July 1 however some of the residential units will be ready for delivery in February. The building's developer Roger Khafif says that due to its size the building will be delivered in stages. They hope to deliver the first stage and close sales in February. Khafif has indicated that the building is 90% sold.

The building which has a total cost of approximately $400 million, 72 floors high and was financed mainly through the stock market where it issued bonds for a value of $220 million which are due in 2014. There will be 369 rooms in the hotel including 47 suites, as well as 3 restaurants and bars, 2 pools, 7 conference rooms and a private beach club on Isla Viveros.

The costs of living in Trump Ocean Club range from $400 thousand to $1 million. The hotel has an estimated per night cost of $300.00. Mr. Baurez has indicated that the hotel has had many inquiries for reservations specially from businessmen from US, Mexico and Colombia. They plan to open their reservations center in February.
